Symptoms
The user moved folder contents from the original Share to another Share, then tried to delete the original Share. The deletion operation did not complete. The user then tried to re-create the Share using the same exact Share name and received the error message:
An SMB share with the specified name already exists. (Error Code:0x900a204)
Cause
The share name was already created and deleted, but the deletion was never completed. This caused the issue.
Resolution
Contact Dell Support and quote this Dell article ID.
As a workaround, create the share with a different name.
