Symptoms

異なるサイトにある2つのECSを連携させる必要があります
DR VDCをプライマリーECSに追加しようとすると、UIに次のエラー メッセージが表示されます。

  
Virtual Data Center creation failure. Be sure that you have correctly entered the IP address(s) of online devices and that Data Services has completed initialization. Please correct input or retry after a few minutes. Service Error details: Error 7000 (http: 500): An error occurred in the API Service. An error occurred in the API service. Cause: error insertVdcInfo.

Cause

セカンダリーECS上のVDCは、プライマリーVDCを介して作成され、フェデレーションに追加されるときに作成されます。すでに作成されたVDCがある場合、この手順は失敗します。

Resolution

セカンダリー サイトですでに作成されているVDC。プライマリー サイトに追加しようとしても機能せず、上記のエラー メッセージが表示されます
最新の 『ECS管理者ガイド』の手順に従って、セカンダリーECSサイトで必要なのは、1つのストレージ プールの作成と有効なライセンスのアップロードだけです。


セカンダリーECSにVDCを作成する必要はありません。プライマリー サイトのECSを使用して作成されます。

 

Ensure the site you are adding has a valid license uploaded and has at least one
storage pool in the Ready state.

If you encounter this issue, open a Service Request with Dell EMC customer support and note this KB.
