Symptoms

Twee ECS op verschillende locaties moeten worden gefedereerd.
Wanneer wordt geprobeerd de DR VDC toe te voegen aan het primaire ECS, wordt de onderstaande foutmelding in de gebruikersinterface weergegeven:

  
Virtual Data Center creation failure. Be sure that you have correctly entered the IP address(s) of online devices and that Data Services has completed initialization. Please correct input or retry after a few minutes. Service Error details: Error 7000 (http: 500): An error occurred in the API Service. An error occurred in the API service. Cause: error insertVdcInfo.

Cause

De VDC op secundair ECS wordt aangemaakt via primaire VDC en wanneer deze wordt toegevoegd aan de federatie. Als er al een VDC is gemaakt, mislukt de procedure.

Resolution

Een VDC die al is gemaakt op de secundaire site. Wat is geprobeerd toe te voegen aan de primaire site werkt niet en resulteert in de bovenstaande foutmelding.
Volgens de procedure in de nieuwste ECS beheerdershandleiding hoeft er voor de secundaire ECS site slechts één storagepool te worden gemaakt en een geldige licentie te worden geüpload.


Er mag GEEN VDC worden gemaakt op secundaire ECS. Het wordt gemaakt via de primaire site ECS.

 

Ensure the site you are adding has a valid license uploaded and has at least one
storage pool in the Ready state.
