Symptoms

Två ECS på olika platser bör vara federerade.
När det görs ett försök att lägga till DR VDC till primär ECS visas nedanstående felmeddelande i användargränssnittet:

  
Virtual Data Center creation failure. Be sure that you have correctly entered the IP address(s) of online devices and that Data Services has completed initialization. Please correct input or retry after a few minutes. Service Error details: Error 7000 (http: 500): An error occurred in the API Service. An error occurred in the API service. Cause: error insertVdcInfo.

Cause

VDC på sekundär ECS skapas via primär VDC och när den läggs till i federationen. Om det redan finns en VDC som skapats misslyckas proceduren.

Resolution

En VDC som redan har skapats på den sekundära platsen. Det som har försökts lägga till på den primära webbplatsen kommer inte att fungera och resulterar i ovanstående felmeddelande.
Enligt proceduren i den senaste ECS-administratörsguiden behöver den sekundära ECS-platsen bara en lagringspool skapas och en giltig licens laddas upp.


INGEN VDC får skapas på sekundär ECS. Den skapas via ECS för primär plats.

 

Ensure the site you are adding has a valid license uploaded and has at least one
storage pool in the Ready state.

If you encounter this issue, open a Service Request with Dell EMC customer support and note this KB.
