Symptoms

È necessario federare due ECS in siti diversi.
Quando si tenta di aggiungere il VDC DR all'ECS primario, viene visualizzato il seguente messaggio di errore nell'interfaccia utente:

  
Virtual Data Center creation failure. Be sure that you have correctly entered the IP address(s) of online devices and that Data Services has completed initialization. Please correct input or retry after a few minutes. Service Error details: Error 7000 (http: 500): An error occurred in the API Service. An error occurred in the API service. Cause: error insertVdcInfo.

Cause

Il VDC sull'ECS secondario viene creato tramite il VDC primario e quando viene aggiunto alla federazione. Se è già presente un VDC già creato, la procedura ha esito negativo.

Resolution

VDC già creato nel sito secondario. Ciò che si è tentato di aggiungere al sito primario non funzionerà e genererà il messaggio di errore riportato sopra.
In base alla procedura descritta nella Guida dell'amministratore ECS più recente, il sito ECS secondario richiede solo la creazione di un pool di storage e l'upload di una licenza valida.


NO VDC deve essere creato sull'ECS secondario. Viene creato tramite il sito primario ECS.

 

Ensure the site you are adding has a valid license uploaded and has at least one
storage pool in the Ready state.

If you encounter this issue, open a Service Request with Dell EMC customer support and note this KB.
