Symptoms
- The easiest way to put data in the hands of EMC Support as quickly as possible is to use the FTP2EMC script
- FTP2EMC allows the upload of one or more files in a single command which is available to support on a shared workspace
- It is also the only current way to upload a NSRGet bundle to the backend analysis tool if NSRGet Autoupload fails or is not used
Cause
.
Resolution
- Download FTP2EMC from browser ftp://nwc:nwc@ftp.emc.com/ftp2emc.bat or ftp://nwc:nwc@ftp.emc.com/ftp2emc.sh
- Or from command line:
ftp ftp.emc.com
User? nwc
Password: nwc
ascii
get ftp2emc.sh
get ftp2emc.bat
bye
User? nwc
Password: nwc
ascii
get ftp2emc.sh
get ftp2emc.bat
bye
- Move the script to a directory in your path:
echo %PATH%
echo $PATH
(move the script to one of the directories mentioned)
echo $PATH
(move the script to one of the directories mentioned)
- Alternately: if you simply download and run NSRGet 1.6.0+, FTP2EMC will be copied to /emc/util and symlinked for you, so it is available to be invoked from anywhere as ftp2emc
- Customers: Install it on the system you typically download EMC utilities from,or upload resources to Support Center to make uploading NSRGet bundles easier
