Symptoms
- VMware image backup does not run by "Vm in Suspended State"
- Restore backup suspended VM is failing
- Backup suspended VM is failing with following error.
avvcbimage FATAL <0000>: The VMX '[DATASTORE] vmname/vmname.vmx' is currently suspended and cannot be backed up.
Cause
Backup/restore for suspended VM is not supported in Avamar 7.2 and earlier.
Resolution
Upgrade Avamar 7.3 for support suspended VMs
