Symptoms
Failed to create NFS export on Unity with error "Failed: A share with the specified name already exists in the NAS server".
Detailed steps to reproduce this problem:
- Create 2 file systems such as FS_01 and FS_02. Do not export during creation.
- Export FS_01 as NFS with share name FS_02. This will be successful.
- Attempt to export file system FS_02 with any name.
- Export will fail with error: "Failed: A share with the specified name already exists in the NAS server. (Error Code:0x900a008)."
Cause
A code deficiency in Unity code is causing this issue.
Resolution
Fix
There is no fix at this time.
Workaround
Don't create an NFS export with a name identical to any existing filesystem name other than the one you are exporting. You can export FS_01 as FS_01, but if you export FS_01 with the name of another filesystem, exporting the other filesystem will fail.
