Symptoms
customer upgraded ESXi to version 6.5. After the upgrade, the VCenter was showing yellow triangle icon in Unity GUI.
Polling the VCenter servers from the Unity interface had no effect.

Cause
Customer was trying to re-add the VCenter without first deleting the existing copy of the same VCenter (from before the upgrade).
Resolution
| Delete the old VCenter configuration and then register it again. Note: You should be able to do this without downtime, but you can schedule for a down time to make sure data stores are not affected. (when customer was having VCenter registered, the initiator was not logged out, so host access had no affect) |
