Instructions

Replacing disks in Storage via the Dell Storage Manager Client:

  1. In the DSM select the "Hardware" tab
  2. Expand the section on the left side, and go to the drawer with the failed disk
  3. Click the "Disks" section
  4. On the right side of the screen right-click on the failed disk and choose the "Replace Disk" option:

  5. The failed disk replacement process will start as indicated below, click on "Next":

  6. Follow the instructions to physically remove and after removing the failed disk and click "Next":

  7. Insert the new disk into the enclosure and click "Next":

  8. The Storage will recognize the new disk. This step may take 2 to 5 minutes, wait:

  9. If the disk was successfully recognized by the Storage the confirmation below will appear and you can click "Finish" to complete this activity:

  10. After of the replacement of the disk, send new logs through Support Assist. If you need help with the process follow this link
