Symptoms

Geen beeld wanneer de monitor wordt ingeschakeld

Dell monitoren die zijn aangesloten op de DisplayPort (DP) op de systeemkaart van OptiPlex computers (zie lijst hieronder) geven mogelijk geen beeld weer. Dit gebeurt wanneer de monitor wordt ingeschakeld nadat het systeem is ingeschakeld.


Betroffen OptiPlex computers:

  • OptiPlex 3050
  • OptiPlex 5050
  • OptiPlex 7050
  • OptiPlex 3060
  • OptiPlex 5060
  • OptiPlex 7060
  • OptiPlex 3070
  • OptiPlex 5070
  • OptiPlex 7070

Cause

Dit werkt zoals bedoeld. Voor de Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Graphics Output Protocol (GOP) moet de monitor eerst de EDID-data (Extended Display Identification Data) ontvangen. Zodra de data zijn ontvangen, wordt er video naar de monitor gestuurd.

Resolution

Dit is verwacht gedrag aangezien het ontwerp van de hotplug-detectie de UEFI-GOP- en DP-standaard volgt.

Een tijdelijke oplossing voor dit probleem is om eerst de monitor en vervolgens het systeem in te schakelen zodat de monitor kan worden gedetecteerd.
