Symptoms
If user provides all three DNS server addresses in ICW, warning message is returned erroneously while validating initial configuration.
Network validation failed with unexpected error. (0xE0E7001000001)
Cause
Underlying Linux system supports no more than three DNS servers, but one entry is reserved for internal DNS proxy/forwarder. If three (3) DNS servers are entered in the Initial Configuration Window (ICW) an error is raised.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in PowerStoreOS 1.0.3.0.5.007.
Proceed with one of the following options to work around:
- Provide no more than two DNS servers in ICW and repeat initial network validation. Once validated and the cluster is created, the third DNS server can be added.
- Ignore the warning and continue configuring the cluster. Once the cluster is created, you can validate that the DNS configuration was successful in the PowerStore Manager (user interface).
