Symptoms

Alert ID ONV_ACD_STATUS_CONFLICTS_FOUND
Alert Text Address %(address) configured for %(network_type) network is already used by a host with the following interfaces: %(mac_addresses)
Error Code (0x01802A02)
Description When the PowerStore detects a duplicate IP address on one of its networks, the system shows an alert like this:
Address <IP Address> configured for Management network is already used by a host with the following interfaces: <xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx, xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx>.
This alert is raised for each duplicate address individually. If the multiple interfaces have the same IP address set, all their MAC addresses would be listed in the alert. The PowerStore own MAC address is not included in this list.

Cause

Cause
This alert is raised if the PowerStore detects that some other hosts have the same IP address as the PowerStore. The system detects the duplicated IP addresses by listening for the IPv4 ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) and IPv6 ND (Neighbor Discovery) responses on the locally attached Ethernet segments. It means that the duplicated addresses in other VLANs or in other network areas in general are not detected.
The cause of this alert is the incorrect assignment of the IP addresses. It means that either the host or the PowerStore itself have not been configured according to the addressing plan.

Resolution

Solution
Check the IP addresses of the hosts connected to the PowerStore networks. Confirm that the PowerStore itself has assigned the correct IP addresses.
Correct the IP address settings.
