Když je příkaz WIPE odeslán na jednotku OPAL SED, jednotka vymaže všechna data na disku a vrátí stav jednotky do formátu RAW (tovární nastavení). Neexistují žádná data, která by mohla být obnovena z tohoto stavu podle návrhu a specifikací standardu OPAL.
