OPMERKING: De procedure die in dit artikel wordt uitgelegd, is niet van toepassing op switches waarop OS10 wordt uitgevoerd.


Procedure:

We kunnen USB-storage gebruiken om bestanden in en uit de switch te kopiëren. Soms wordt na het formatteren van een USB-storageapparaat in Windows in FAT32 mogelijk niet gedetecteerd in de Force10-switch met een OS9-firmwareversie. Als tijdelijke oplossing kunnen we de USB formatteren in de Dell Force10 Switch waarop OS9 wordt uitgevoerd. 

  1. Plaats de USB (penstation) in de USB-poort.
  2. Voer deze opdracht uit: 
format usbflash


LET OP: Als u een bestandsapparaat formatteert, worden alle bestanden en mappen erop verwijderd. Maak daarom een back-up van alle bestanden in de USB-storage op een andere locatie voordat u verdergaat.


Uitvoervoorbeeld

FTOS#format usbflash:
Formatting a file device removes all files and directories on it.
Proceed to format the file device [confirm yes/no]: yes
Do not remove usbflash, device is being formatted!!

OPMERKING: De USB is geformatteerd in FAT32. Een beveiligde of versleutelde USB met de speciale partitie werkt mogelijk niet in de switch.
