Waarom we toegang tot ONIE nodig hebben

N3000E switches ondersteunen ook de Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), waardoor de installatie van alternatieve netwerkbesturingssystemen mogelijk is. Standaard zijn de Dell N3000E-ON-switches vooraf geladen met Dell OS6. Daarom moeten we ONIE handmatig opstarten in de switch.

    Procedure

    1. Sluit een seriële kabel aan op de seriële consolepoort van de switch (115.200 BAUD, 8 databits, geen pariteit, 1 stop-bit,)

    2. Schakel de switch in en weer uit.

    3. Wanneer het opstartmenu verschijnt om "Display boot Menu" te selecteren, typt u 2

    SLN319898_en_US__1icon Je hebt slechts 3 seconden om de selectie te maken. Als we dit missen, moeten we de switch opnieuw opstarten om de prompt te krijgen


    4. Vanuit het opstartmenu om "BOOT ONIE (Rescue Mode)" te selecteren, typt u 13

    Dit brengt ons naar de ONIE-prompt
