Symptoms

Workaround:

Below command con be used as a workaround.

# mminfo -akot -r "volume, ssid,cloneid" | grep <VM_NAME_search_pattern>

The NW 'mminfo' -k switch not honored when we specify -q option in syntax. the query do not consider VM SSIDs but all SSIDs.

### ONE:
When we specify mminfo switches '-akot'  or '-kot' there is  1106 save sets.

# mminfo -akot | wc -l
1106
# mminfo -kot | wc -l
1106

When we use same switches and query for just one DD volume we are getting lot more SSIDs

# mminfo -kot -q volume=myVolume.001 | wc -l
23950
# mminfo -akot -q volume=myVolume.001 | wc -l
23950

### TWO
If we exclude '-k' switch [Linux man page: -k  Displays backup details of virtual machines protected using VMware Backup Appliance(VBA). ]  we are getting same 23950 SSIDs

# mminfo -avot -q volume=myVolume.001 | wc -l
23950
# mminfo -akot -q volume=myVolume.001 | wc -l
23950
### THREE

If we specify just '-k' which means just VM save sets we are getting information about all save sets.

# mminfo -k -q "volume=myVolume.001" | wc -l
23950

### FOUR
When we specify mminfo '-q' with '-k' we see save sets  from 2016 year and mminfo just '.k' shows ssid starting 2018 .   NOTE:  we have specified '-ot' which should sort based on time stamps.

# mminfo -akot | head -5

### Conclusion:
The '-k' switch not honored in conjunction with '-q' switch  when we specify to see just VM save sets stored on particular volume. It shows  ALL (VM and non VM) save sets.
Instead the mminfo shows  ALL save sets (VM and non VM) for that specific volume.

Affected NW builds:

    * NetWorker 9.0.x;  9.1.x;  9.2.x
