Cause
This is an array issue. The cause of the issue is described in the following KB:
482071: VMAX3 & VMAX All Flash: Busy / Out of Resources error during TDEV create operation or NDM create operation in Unisphere for VMAX or Solutions Enabler
https://support.emc.com/kb/482071
Resolution
Workaround:
- If the array is VMAX 3 or VMAX All Flash:
- and if subscription after addition of new volume(s) reaches 100% or more.
- and if new volumes total capacity is more than 4 TB for the code below 5977.810 and 6 TB for above it, user should create volumes in batches. In such a way that the first set for number of volumes creation sent should not exceed 4TB for the code below 5977.810 and 6 TB for the code later than 5977.810.
- Larger volumes should be created in separate orders.
