Symptoms

Nytt skydd eller ändring av disklayout för befintligt skydd

CSV-händelserna visar:  
VMAX_000002,AS-Server,VMAX operation failed. Error: Not able to find SRDF group information for the source volume 001AF in array 000xxxxxxxxx
GENL_000044,AS-Server,The following application items are on non-configured storage system or on an unsupported storage configuration: [DBNAME]. Register the required storage system in AppSync and/or verify that the underlying storage configuration is supported by AppSync. Also, verify if the storage preference set in the Service Plan is supported by the underlying array.
SPP_000037,AS-Server,Cannot determine the storage type where application DBNAME resides. Verify if the application is located on a supported EMC storage that has been added to AppSync.

Cause

Ett av källans logiska enhetsnummer (LUN) finns inte i ett disksystem som stöds och SRDF-felet är felaktigt.

Resolution

Identifiera det LUN som inte finns i det disksystem som stöds och säkerställ att det finns i ett disksystem som stöds.

För den specifika incidenten som föranledde den här artikeln:
  • Alla käll-LUN finns på VMAX utom en.
  • Alla diskar är VMware vDisks.
Det World Wide Name (WWN) som returneras från vCenter kan granskas i AppSync Server-loggen för att identifiera LUN som inte finns i ett disksystem som stöds.

Följande fem rader från AppSync-servern visas i processen för AppSync att hitta WWN från vCenter. Den första raden innehåller filsystemets namn. Den sista raden visar att WWN returneras av vCenter, som börjar med 6000 och indikerar ett Dell-disksystem.
