Dell Storage MD1400 和 MD1420 DAS（直连存储）机柜可以连接在一起以提供额外的存储。部署六个或更多 MD1400 或者三个或更多 MD1420 机柜时，PERC H840 将报告在引导过程中超过了 64 个磁盘的限制。机柜是否连接在同一通道上并不重要。
解决方案
PERC 10 的一项功能是概念配置文件管理，用于在 DAS 配置文件之间切换，定义了物理磁盘和虚拟磁盘的最大数量。H840 有两个配置文件：PD64 和 PD240。要将 64 个磁盘的限制增加到 240 个磁盘，可以更新 PERC H840 配置文件以容纳超过 64 个物理磁盘。
