Cause

Hoge CRC-fouten zijn symptomen van Layer 1-problemen. Het kan een defecte kabel, SFP of netwerkinterfacekaart (NIC) zijn.

De bovenstaande statistieken zijn een indicatie dat host1, host2 en host4 CRC (inkomend) ontvingen van host3, en host3 kan de bron zijn van de CRC-fouten die vSAN-prestatieproblemen veroorzaken.

Resolution

  1. Als u wilt dat CRC-fouten toenemen, voert u de volgende opdracht uit:
watch esxcli network nic stats get -n=vmnic1 | grep "Receive CRC errors"
  1. Uplink naar vmnic1 afsluiten:
esxcli network nic down -n vmnic1

Opmerking: Zorg ervoor dat er uplinkredundantie is (bijvoorbeeld vmnic0, vmnic1) voordat u de linkstatus wijzigt in de status omlaag. Op dit moment zou u geen toename van CRC-fouten en geen vSAN-latentie moeten zien.
 
  1. Vervang SFP die is verbonden met vSAN-uplink1 en wijzig de uplink-status in UP. Overweeg ook de kabel naar de uplink te vervangen in het geval dat SFP-vervanging de CRC-fouten niet heeft gestopt.
