Cause

Høje CRC-fejl er symptomer på Layer 1-problemer. Det kan være et defekt kabel, SFP eller netværkskort (NIC).

Ovenstående statistik er en indikation af, at host1, host2 og host4 modtog CRC (indgående) fra host3, og host3 kan være kilden til CRC-fejlene, der forårsager problemer med vSAN-ydeevnen.

Resolution

  1. For at se intervallerne for CRC-fejl skal du køre kommandoen:
watch esxcli network nic stats get -n=vmnic1 | grep "Receive CRC errors"
  1. Luk uplink til vmnic1:
esxcli network nic down -n vmnic1

Bemærk: Sørg for, at der er uplink-redundans (f.eks. vmnic0, vmnic1), før du ændrer linkstatus til down-tilstand. På dette tidspunkt bør du ikke se nogen stigning i CRC-fejl og ingen vSAN-ventetid.
 
  1. Udskift SFP, der er tilsluttet vSAN uplink1, og skift uplink-status til UP. Overvej også at udskifte kablet til uplink i tilfælde af, at SFP-udskiftningen ikke stopper CRC-fejlene.
