Issue details
A new root certificate will be applied on February 15, 2021 to Dell’s SupportAssist environment impacting customers running Storage Center Operating System (SCOS) versions 6.6.5 (June 2015 release) and below. These systems will no longer have the ability to send SupportAssist from both SCOS and the Dell Storage Manager (DSM) application. Systems with an active service contract will still receive support through Dell Services, however the time to resolution may take longer due to the SupportAssist tools no longer being available for these systems.
Recommended Action plan
Systems running Storage Center 6.6.5 and below need to upgrade to SCOS version 6.6.11 or higher along with the corresponding DSM version in order to allow the connection to SupportAssist from the Storage Center and Dell Storage Manager. The latest versions of software at the time of this message are SCOS 7.4.21 and DSM 20R1. Please contact Dell Support to discuss upgrade options for your SC system.
If your system is already operating on a version of SCOS 6.6.11 or higher, you can ignore this request.
