Symptoms

  • Data Domain VTLの再起動後に2方向NDMPバックアップが失敗する
  • Dell NetWorkerではData Domain VTLがオフライン ステータスとして表示されますが、Data Domain VTL内からは正常なステータスと表示されます。
  • Dell Unityは、Data Domain VTLから提示されたデバイスを検出できませんでした。

Data Domain VTLを再起動すると、Dell UnityにLUNZが表示され、次に示すように、プローブでData Domain VTLが検出されませんでした。

Cause

ユーザーは、追加の物理テープ デバイスを追加し、Data Domain VTL用に割り当てられた同じDell Unity FCイニシエーター ポートを使用してゾーニングしました。

 

Resolution

この問題を解決するには、Dell Unity FCイニシエーター ポート ゾーンで追加の物理テープ デバイスを削除します。

イニシエーター:

  • FCイニシエーター ポートは、Data Domain VTLデバイス専用である必要があります。
  • Data Domainシステム上のVTLターゲット ポートの特定のセットと通信する必要があるイニシエーターのみを、そのData Domainシステムにゾーニングする必要があります。
  • ゾーニングするすべてのイニシエーターに有用なエイリアスを作成し、Data Domainシステムに接続します。エイリアス名にホスト名とポートを含めることをお勧めします。
  • 1対1のゾーニングのみを使用します。ゾーンごとに1つのイニシエーターと1つのターゲットのみで構成されるゾーンをファイバ チャネル スイッチ上に作成します。
