Symptoms

  • U hebt het NMC-serverpakket geïnstalleerd op een Linux-systeem:
  • Het script /opt/lgtonmc/bin/nmc_config lijkt te zijn voltooid (keert terug naar prompt), maar de service is niet gestart en kan niet worden gestart:
[root@NMCSERVER]# /opt/lgtonmc/bin/nmc_config

The embedded web server inside the NMC server must run as a non-root user.
EMC recommends that you specify a user that has limited privileges and
file access permissions. Default user name used is 'nsrnmc'.

Specify the directory to use for the LGTOnmc database [/nsr/nmc/nmcdb]: 

Do you want to migrate the NMC server data from a previous LGTOnmc 8.x.x release [n]? 

Specify the host name of the NetWorker Authentication Service host [NWSERVER.emclab.local]: 

Start the NMC server daemons at end of the configuration [y]?

Cause

Het semanage-pakket ontbreekt op de NMC-server.

Resolution

  1. Installeer het ontbrekende semanage-pakket op de server. U kunt identificeren met welk pakket deze tool wordt geïnstalleerd:

yum biedt /usr/sbin/semanage

  1. Het pakket kan met het volgende worden geïnstalleerd met behulp van het pakket dat met de bovenstaande opdracht wordt uitgevoerd:
yum install -y --nogpgcheck policycoreutils-python-#.#-#x86_64
  1. Voer het nmc-configuratiescript opnieuw uit: /opt/lgtonmc/bin/nmc_config.
OPMERKING: Het script moet 'The installation completed successfully' (De installatie is voltooid) retourneren voordat u terugkeert naar de prompt.
  1. Controleer of services worden uitgevoerd nadat het configuratiescript is voltooid: 
service gst-status
