Process for Transitioning CloudArray to a Portal-less Configuration

Instructions

Customers can follow the procedure below to place a CloudArray into portal-less mode with or without the help of support:

  1. In the CloudArray UI, go to ADMINISTRATION > Utilities. 
Note: On smaller browser windows, you may see a top menu. Click ADMIN > UTILITIES
  1. On the Utilities page, select Execute CLI.
  2. In the Enter CLI command box, enter the following:
set_option disable_portal --disable=true
  1. Click Go. If successful, the Results box contains Done.

If a customer does not place each of their CloudArray instances into portal-less mode, the CloudArray UI becomes inaccessible within 30 days after cloudarray.com shuts down (April 1, 2022). Once access to the UI is lost, the customer is unable to use the above procedure.

If there are any issues with the above process, reach out to Support for assistance with this issue before the End of Service Life date (March 30, 2022).

Additional Information

When in portal-less mode, a CloudArray instance no longer provides:

  • CloudArray alerts (using email messages from cloudarray.com)
  • Automatic upload of configuration backups to cloudarray.com
  • License status on cloudarray.com (pushed there by the CloudArray)

When the cloudarray.com portal shuts down, the following becomes unavailable:

  • Configuration backups (automatically uploaded by the CloudArray)
  • Past alert notification reports
  • CloudArray downloads and documentation
  • CloudArray license information, including downloading the license as a file
