Symptoms

스플리터(Kdriver) VIB 다음과 같은 많은 오류와 함께 설치가 실패합니다.

참고: 이 문제로 인해 ESXi 스플리터 구축 오류로 인해 RecoverPoint for VM 클러스터 설치가 실패합니다.

Cause

ESXi 호스트에 설정이 있습니다. VMKernel.Boot.execInstalledOnly true로 설정합니다.
이 설정은 kdriver vib 라이브 설치를 사용하여 올바르게 설치합니다.

RecoverPoint Splitter는 VMKernel.Boot.execInstalledOnly true로 설정합니다 .

Resolution

절차:

  1. ESXi 호스트에서 VMKernel.Boot.execInstalledOnly false로 설정합니다 .
  • 다음 ESXCLI 명령을 실행합니다.
esxcli system settings encryption set --require-exec-installed-only=F
  • 변경 내용을 확인합니다.
esxcli system settings encryption get
Mode: TPM
Require Executables Only From Installed VIBs: false
Require Secure Boot: true
설치된 VIB의 실행 파일만 필요에서 false로 표시되는지 확인합니다.
  • 설정을 저장하려면 다음 명령을 실행합니다.
/sbin/auto-backup.sh
    TPM은 더 이상 execInstalledOnly 부팅 옵션. 
  1. 참고: 경우에 따라 위의 CLI 단계에서 확인하여 값이 false로 설정됩니다. 그러나 vSphere UI에서는 값이 아래 필드에서 true 로 설정되므로 UI에서도 값을 수정해야 합니다.

  2. ESXi 호스트를 재부팅합니다.
  3. 다음의 vib 다시 설치합니다.

이 문제는 고객이 STIG 강화 절차를 실행할 때 작동하는 RecoverPoint 시스템에도 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다.
이 절차는 매개변수를 변경하는 기본 STIG 값을 설정합니다 VMKernel.Boot.execInstalledOnly = True.

이 절차는 ESXi 구성을 변경하지만 다음 재부팅 또는 업그레이드 중에 적용됩니다. 업그레이드된 호스트가 RecoverPoint for VM 보호 VM을 실행할 수 없기 때문에 이로 인해 VxRail 업그레이드 문제가 발생할 수 있습니다.
