Symptoms

Na een installatie en/of upgrade wordt het IP-adres ESXi DCUI 0.0.0.0.

DCUI geeft nullen van IP-adres weer

Cause

Standaard kiest het ESXi-besturingssysteem het statische IP-adres van vmk0.

Resolution

Om dit probleem op te lossen: 
  1. Zet de betrokken knooppunten in de onderhoudsmodus
  2. Stel de juiste VMkernel-interface en het juiste IP-adres voor beheer in, voer de volgende opdracht uit:  
    # esxcfg-advcfg --set vmk2 /Net/ManagementIface
# esxcfg-advcfg --set <IP address> /Net/ManagementAddr
  3. Controleer en bevestig of de juiste instellingen aanwezig zijn in de onderstaande bestanden:  
    /etc/vmware/esx.conf > look for line: /adv/Net/ManagementAddr
/bootbank/etc/vmware/esx.conf > look for line: /adv/Net/ManagementAddr
/altbootbank/etc/vmware/esx.conf > look for line: /adv/Net/ManagementAddr
  4. Voer auto-backup.sh en bevestig dezelfde instellingen van de bovenstaande bestanden
  5. Start de host opnieuw op
  6. Controleer nogmaals wat het probleem is
