The PERC H355 had properties, Non RAID Disk Mode. The default value is Enabled.
The PERC H355 had a properties,  Non RAID Disk Mode. The default value is Enabled. 

When the Non RAID Disk Mode is enable, RAID and Non-RAID HD can mix exist.  

When the Non RAID Disk Mode is enable, RAID and Non-RAID HD can mix exist.   

Also can change the hard drive work mode between RAID/Non-RAID:

After disabling Non RAID Disk Mode,

All hard drive change to RAID mode, but You cannot covert the hard drive to Non-RAID Disk:
