Tested Procedure to upgrade MFE and GDDR software: MFE 8.4 to MFE 8.5 and GDDR 5.2 to GDDR 5.3
- Take down GDDR everywhere.
- Update GDDR libraries.
- Startup GDDR everywhere with new version.

- Shutdown MFE at DC1 (Control system at DC2 is Primary MSC and CONGROUP Owner).
- Update MFE at DC1.
- Restart MFE at DC1.
- Restart Secondary MSC Server at DC1.
- Do a planned MSC Takeover from DC2 to DC1.

- Shut down MFE at DC2.
- Update MFE at DC2.
- Restart MFE at DC2.
- Restart Secondary MSC server at DC2.
- Do a planned MSC Takeover from DC1 to DC2.

- Shut down MFE at DC3.
- Update MFE at DC3.
- Restart MFE at DC3.

- Shut down MFE at DC4.
- Update MFE at DC4.
- Restart MFE at DC4.
Same procedure can be used if customer has a SRDF/STAR configuration with modification (no DC4 site).
