Symptoms

Lo strumento RUCK ha esito negativo sul controllo DNS con il seguente errore:

[ERROR] The hostname set for components xxx on their respective VMs are different than the ones resolved from the DNS. Ensure that the hostnames are set correctly for all components and try again.

Cause

Questo errore può verificarsi se il nome host del componente in DNS non corrisponde ai nomi host impostati nei componenti. Una possibile causa sono le modifiche apportate al DNS dopo il deployment.

Resolution

NOTA: Lo strumento RUCK recupera i server DNS dal file /usr/local/dataprotection/var/configmgr/server_data/config/commonconfig.xml. I server DNS primari e secondari menzionati nella commonconfig.xml sono quelli utilizzati dallo strumento RUCK per eseguire ricerche per tutti i componenti di Integrated Data Protection Appliance. Gli utenti devono assicurarsi che nel file di commonconfig.xml siano menzionati indirizzi IP corretti del server DNS.

Quindi eseguire il seguente comando in ACM: 
./goidpa appliance hostname


Se hostname check failure Il problema viene osservato per alcuni componenti, seguire la procedura riportata di seguito per i componenti guasti:

  1. Utilizzare il seguente comando in ACM per verificare se il DNS sta risolvendo l'IP del componente nel dominio corretto:
host -W 10 -T <component IP> <DNS IP>

<Note: DNS can be found in /etc/resolv.conf>
  1. Utilizzare il seguente comando sul rispettivo componente per ottenere il nome host:
hostname -f (for all components except Protection Storage/Data Domain and Hypervisor Manager/vCenter)
hostname.get (for Hypervisor Manager/vCenter)
hostname (for Protection Storage/Data Domain)
  1. Confrontare i due nomi host. Deve essere lo stesso. In caso contrario, correggere la voce del nome host sul rispettivo server DNS e procedere.
NOTA: Se i nomi host sono gli stessi ma c'è una differenza tra maiuscole e minuscole tra la voce del nome host sul DNS e il nome host impostato sul componente, contattare il supporto tecnico Dell e menzionare l'ID di questo articolo.
