Symptoms

RUCKツールがDNSチェックで次のエラーで失敗する:

[ERROR] The hostname set for components xxx on their respective VMs are different than the ones resolved from the DNS. Ensure that the hostnames are set correctly for all components and try again.

Cause

このエラーは、DNS内のコンポーネントのホスト名が、コンポーネントに設定されたホスト名と一致しない場合に発生する可能性があります。考えられる原因の 1 つは、デプロイ後の DNS の変更です。

Resolution

メモ: RUCKツールがファイルからDNSサーバーをフェッチします /usr/local/dataprotection/var/configmgr/server_data/config/commonconfig.xmlの詳細を確認してください。commonconfig.xmlに記載されているプライマリーおよびセカンダリーDNSサーバーは、RUCKツールがすべてのIntegrated Data Protection Applianceコンポーネントのルックアップを実行するために使用するサーバーです。ユーザーは、DNSサーバーのIPアドレスがcommonconfig.xmlファイルに正しく記述されていることを確認する必要があります。

次に、ACMで次のコマンドを実行します。 
./goidpa appliance hostname


ここで、 hostname check failure 一部のコンポーネントで問題が発生しています。障害が発生したコンポーネントについては、次の手順に従います。

  1. ACMで次のコマンドを使用して、DNSがコンポーネントIPを正しいドメインに解決しているかどうかを確認します。
host -W 10 -T <component IP> <DNS IP>

<Note: DNS can be found in /etc/resolv.conf>
  1. それぞれのコンポーネントで次のコマンドを使用して、ホスト名を取得します。
hostname -f (for all components except Protection Storage/Data Domain and Hypervisor Manager/vCenter)
hostname.get (for Hypervisor Manager/vCenter)
hostname (for Protection Storage/Data Domain)
  1. 2つのホスト名を比較します。同じである必要があります。そうでない場合は、それぞれのDNSサーバーのホスト名エントリーを修正して先に進みます。
