Symptoms

I computer Precision 5560 e XPS 9510 con sistema operativo CFI installato non riescono ad avviare i dispositivi USB esterni nell'ambiente pre-sistema operativo.

Cause

La selezione della configurazione del BIOS "Enable USB Boot support" viene disabilitata automaticamente quando il sistema operativo è un ordine CFI.

Resolution

Seguire la procedura riportata di seguito per eseguire l'avvio da un dispositivo USB esterno in Pre-Boot Environment:
  1. Avviare il menu di configurazione premendo F2 durante l'accensione.
  2. Cliccare su Integrated Devices e Enable USB Boot Support (Figura 1).

  3. Cliccare su Apply Changes ed esci.
