Precision 5560 and XPS 9510 Unable to Boot from USB in Pre-OS Environment

Symptoms
Precision 5560 and XPS 9510 computers with a CFI installed Operating System fail to boot to external USB devices in the Pre-OS environment.
Cause
The BIOS setup selection "Enable USB Boot support" is automatically disabled when the Operating System is a CFI order.
Resolution
Follow the steps below to boot to an external USB device in the Pre-Boot Environment:
- Boot to the setup menu by pressing F2 while turning on.
- Click Integrated Devices and Enable USB Boot Support (Figure 1).
