Dell Unity: Perinteisen varannon luominen Unispherestä ei onnistu TAI RAID 5 tai 10 ei ole käytettävissä luotaessa varantoa Unispherestä

Tässä tilanteessa Unity-levyjärjestelmässä oli OE 5.2 ja järjestelmässä oli kaikki NL-SAS-asemat.

Kun yrität luoda varannon Unispheresta, vain RAID 6 on käytettävissä (RAID 5 ja RAID 10 eivät ole käytettävissä).

Unity-levyjärjestelmä toimii suunnitellusti.

Dell Unity OE -versiossa 4.2 ja sitä uudemmissa versioissa dynaaminen varanto on ainoa All-Flash-järjestelmää varten Unispheressa luotu varantotyyppi. Tämä koskee myös hybridijärjestelmiä, joissa on OE-versio 5.2 tai uudempi. Perinteisen varannon luominen edellyttää Unisphere CLI- tai REST-ohjelmointirajapinnan käyttöä. Kun luodaan dynaaminen varanto NL-SAS-asemien avulla, vain RAID 6 on sallittu Unispherea käytettäessä.

3) uemcli -d <IP Address> -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional           <- Command to create a traditional Pool (we use 45 of the 47 drives to leave 2 for spares)

Note: This command is run from a workstation with Unity uemcli installed.
Alternately the command can be run directly on the SP via an SSH connection:

uemcli -u Local/admin -p <Password> /stor/config/pool create -name <Pool Name> -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional
