Alienware Laptop Has No Audio

Symptoms
No Audio
No audio issue occurs when:
- After clean installing Windows, the necessary drivers are not installed automatically.
- Not restarting the computer after manually uninstalling and reinstalling the necessary audio drivers
- Any changes to the audio drivers are caused by other software
- Not setting the audio playback device correctly
The following drivers must be installed:
- Realtek Audio driver

How to recover if the Realtek Audio driver does not install:
- Update the computer's drivers using Windows Update.

- Manually download the necessary drivers from the Dell website: Realtek Audio Driver and Cirrus Logic Awesome Speaker Amps driver (single driver package)

Steps to install the audio drivers:
- Uninstall the current driver following the setup prompts.

- After uninstalling the current drivers is complete, DO NOT clear "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." Click Next to immediately restart the computer and install the latest audio driver.

- Recheck the audio drivers to verify the correct versions installed (described above).
If the correct drivers are installed and there is no audio, verify that the audio path is set correctly:
- Ensure that Speakers are selected as the playback device.
