La creación de un nivel de caché (o la adición de un disco a un nivel de caché existente) en un modo de pool de almacenamiento como DD6400 necesitará un atributo "force" en el comando "storage add" para completar la creación de volúmenes de caché.  Sin ningún atributo "force" en el comando "storage add", el disco de caché permanecerá en el estado "Available Disks (v)" y no se creará ningún nivel de caché, como se muestra a continuación.

Solución:

Si el disco de caché se agregó sin el atributo "force" y su estado muestra "Available Disks (v)", realice lo siguiente:
1. Conéctese al sistema Data Domain mediante SSH utilizando la cuenta sysadmin.
2. Ejecute el comando: filesys expand

Esto crea el nivel de caché, que ahora aparecerá cuando se utilice el comando storage show all
