DD6400 gibi bir depolama havuzu modunda önbellek katmanı oluşturmak (veya mevcut bir önbellek katmanına disk eklemek), önbellek birimi oluşturmayı tamamlamak için "storage add" (depolama ekle) komutunda "force" (zorla) özniteliğini kullanmayı gerektirir.  "Storage add" komutunda "force" özniteliği yoksa önbellek diski "Available Disks (v)" [Kullanılabilir Diskler (v)] durumunda kalır ve aşağıda gösterildiği gibi önbellek katmanı oluşturulamaz.

Çözüm:

Önbellek diski "force" özniteliği olmadan eklendiyse ve durumu "Available Disks (v)" [Kullanılabilir Diskler (v)] olarak gösteriliyorsa aşağıdakileri gerçekleştirin:
1. Sysadmin hesabını kullanarak SSH üzerinden Data Domain sistemine bağlanın.
2. Şu komutu çalıştırın: filesys expand

Bu adım, storage show all komutunu kullanırken görünecek önbellek katmanını oluşturur 
sysadmin@DD # disk show state
