Symptoms

  • 透過 NetWorker VMware Protection （NVP） vProxy 裝置執行的多個 VM 備份因快照錯誤而失敗：
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ ERROR: Snapshot creation task failed: There are currently 3 usable fault domains. The operation requires 1 more usable fault domains.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ ERROR: Unable to create quiesced snapshot: There are currently 3 usable fault domains. The operation requires 1 more usable fault domains.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ NOTICE: Snapshot free space threshold validation not requested.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ WARN: Retrying as a non-quiesced snapshot: Unable to create quiesced snapshot: There are currently 3 usable fault domains. The operation requires 1 more usable fault domains.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ INFO: Task to create snapshot completed, errors = true.
YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ ERROR: Unable to create non-quiesced snapshot after a retry attempt: There are currently 3 usable fault domains. The operation requires 1 more usable fault domains.
注意：視 vSAN 組態而定，可用的容錯網域數量和回報的必要數量可能會有所不同。
  • 嘗試使用 VMware Snapshot Manager 建立快照時，手動建立快照也會失敗，並出現相同的錯誤。

 

Cause

根據下列 VMware KB 所述，造成此問題的原因是環境中目前存在的容錯網域數量不足。

Resolution

與 VMware 系統管理員 （或 VMware 支援） 接洽，以解決 VMware 容錯網域組態問題。無法透過 NetWorker 或 vProxy 組態採取任何動作來解決此問題。
