Symptoms

Depois que um novo certificado SSL é instalado, o serviço NGINX falha ao iniciar e produz mensagens de erro semelhantes às mostradas abaixo:

Cause

A chave privada tem um requisito de frase secreta, mas o NGINX não está configurado para usar frases secretas. 

Resolution

As etapas a seguir criam um arquivo de chave privada sem o requisito de frase secreta:

  1. Renomeie o nome do arquivo do server.key existente para server_pass.key. 
    mv server.key server_pass.key
 
 
  1. Crie uma nova chave sem um requisito de frase secreta. Supõe-se que a chave RSA esteja em uso, caso contrário, ajuste o comando adequadamente. Quando solicitado, digite a senha e pressione Enter. 
    openssl rsa -in server_pass.key -out server.key
 
  1. Pare e inicie o serviço NGINX e verifique se nenhuma mensagem de erro é exibida: 
    service nginx stop
service nginx start
service nginx status
 
  1. Vá para a página inicial da pesquisa. Verifique se as informações corretas do certificado SSL são exibidas.
