Instructions
- Ensure that RMAN has controlfile autobackup enabled:
RMAN> show all;
....
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP ON;
- List all backups, filtering by DBID, to choose the controlfile backup to restore:
$RMAN_AGENT_HOME/rmanagent/bin/ddutil -f -z <DD_host>:/<storage_unit> <directory> | grep DBID
NOTE: DBID is the Database ID.
- Choose the controlfile autobackup from the day required and restore it.
