Symptoms

  • La macchina virtuale non si è accesa dopo un'interruzione dell'alimentazione dello storage o la rimozione di istantanee. 
  • vCenter mostra Virtual Machine disk consolidation is needed vigile.
  • L'esecuzione di un consolidamento disco ha esito negativo e mostra che Another task is in progress.

Cause

Questo problema si verifica quando il filename-ctk.vmdk File mancante.

Resolution

# vim-cmd vimsvc/task_list VMID
  1. Kill Il processo
# lsof | grep vm-name
# kill -9 process-id
  1. Sposta tutti i CTK File in una cartella temporanea
# mkdir temp
# mv *-ctk.vmdk
  1. Commentare la modifica, tracciando la riga del file in tutte le .vmdk, presente in .vmx
# less .vmx | grep .vmdk 
# vi .vmdk
# :wq!

 

Nota: Inserire # per commentare la riga con CTK come di seguito.

  1. Creare una copia di vmx file, quindi modificarlo in modo che cambi da TRUE a FALSE
# cp vm-name.vmx vm-name.vmx.bck
# vi vm-name.vmx
scsix:x.ctkEnabled = "TRUE" ----> scsix:x.ctkEnabled = "False"
  1. Salvare il file e ricaricare il file vmx file
# vim-cmd vmsvc/reload VMID
  1. A questo punto dovrebbe essere possibile accendere correttamente la VM. Il consolidamento è in corso.
