DELL Unity: Mapping issue with Multiprotocol NAS Server

Summary: - Mapping issue with Multiprotocol NAS Server, Windows user is not mapped to the correct Linux user.

Symptoms

 - Windows user´s cannot access the files from Linux.
- Windows AD users cannot access their files from Linux and conversely when the Windows and Linux user names are different.
- Ntxmap to map Linux users to Windows users is in place, but does not work.
- Windows users get mapped to the linux default user, therefore no secmap entry for that user.

Cause

- wrong domain format in ntxmap

Resolution

- ensure to use short domain name in ntxmap.conf. FQDN/long domain name does not work.
- e.g., wrong example
corp.dell.com:<windowsname>:=:<Linuxname>
- Correct example
CORPDELL:<windowsname>:=:<Linuxname>
