Symptoms

End users may report that the system tray icon on the right corner of the taskbar is missing when they log in to Windows 11 22H2 safe mode.

Cause

This is a Microsoft design issue. Windows 11 loads the Privacy button in Safe Mode.

 

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Windows 11 24H2, RTM OS build 26100.712.
