Instructions
The traceroute command is available in PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) for the root user.
- Switch from admin to the root user.
- Turn off the firewall:
ppdm:~ # service SuSEfirewall2 stop
If the firewall is not turned off, the following occurs.
ppdm:~ # traceroute 192.168.2.172 traceroute to 192.168.2.172 (192.168.2.172), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets send: Operation not permitted
- Run traceroute as normal.

traceroute --help
