Dell OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter (OMIVV) manages firmware recommendations based on catalogs mapped to the appliance using a Repository profile.
There are scenarios in which a manual synchronization can be performed, such as if a catalog was recently updated, either online or using offline custom share.
NOTE: The Dell Default Catalog and Validated MX Repository Profiles automatically check for changes after every 24 hours or every reboot and update automatically.
Solution
Dell OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter (OMIVV) can synchronize updated catalogs manually by accessing the plug-in inside vCenter:
A catalog update can be manually refreshed on the repository section in vCenter > OMIVV > Compliance and Deployment > Repository profile:
Click the Repository Name, as an example Validated MX stack Catalog.
Click Edit
Click Next
Click Begin Test (reenter credentials if using a custom share)
Click Next
Click Finish
The repository Last Refresh Status column displays the current date. If an error occurs, the last completed actions are logged on the Logs section of the OMIVV plug-in.
