Symptoms

L'appliance PowerProtect Data Manager viene utilizzato per proteggere l'ambiente vSphere con la soluzione VM Direct Engine.
Il deployment di VM Direct Engine ha esito negativo con una convalida degli errori che indica che l'indirizzo IP è già in uso sulla rete.

Cause

Il deployment di VM Direct Engine non consente l'utilizzo di un indirizzo IP duplicato nell'ambiente. L'indirizzo IP non rispondeva ai ping ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) dal desktop dell'amministratore, ma dall'appliance PowerProtect.

Resolution

Risolvere i conflitti IP nell'ambiente o utilizzare un indirizzo IP diverso che non viene utilizzato nell'ambiente.
