Symptoms

De PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance wordt gebruikt om de vSphere-omgeving te beschermen met de VM Direct Engine-oplossing.
De VM Direct Engine-implementatie mislukt met een foutvalidatie die aangeeft dat het IP-adres al in gebruik is op het netwerk.

Cause

De VM Direct Engine-implementatie staat niet toe dat een duplicaat IP-adres wordt gebruikt in de omgeving. Het IP-adres reageerde niet op ICMP-pings (Internet Control Message Protocol) van het bureaublad van de beheerder, maar reageerde wel op pings van de PowerProtect Appliance.

Resolution

Los de IP-conflicten in de omgeving op of gebruik een ander IP-adres dat niet in de omgeving wordt gebruikt.
