Symptoms

When using the Dell Optimizer 4.1 application on the Dell Precision 7960 Rack, the analytics features do not work. The data graphs for the "CPU Temperature," "Disk Temperature," and "GPU Fan Speed" are blank.

Cause

Dell Optimizer 4.1 does not support Server based BIOS data.

Resolution

Workaround

This is expected behavior from Dell Optimizer 4.1, this is a limitation of the application, and there is no plan to fix.

You can use other analytical tools as a workaround.

  • CPU Temperature: Platform Power Thermal Utility (PTU)
  • Disk Temperature: CrystalDiskInfo
  • GPU Fan Speed: TechPowerUp GPU-Z
