Instructions

The Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme Tablet SIM card slot may not be found due to its inconspicuous location. The small opening poses challenges with inserting and properly positioning the SIM card. Moreover, removing the SIM card can be difficult, often resulting in it getting stuck. Because of this, the tablet may fail to detect the SIM card.

Affected Platform:

  • Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme Tablet

Inserting or removing a SIM card incorrectly can result in:

  • The SIM card gets trapped and then damaged due to the thickness difference between the nano SIM card and its adapter during removal from the slot.
  • The SIM card is incorrectly oriented when inserted into the slot.
  • The SIM card is incompletely installed when inserted into the slot.

Dell Technologies recommends using the micro SIM card without an adapter to ensure that the SIM card is working properly. If an adapter is required, Dell Technologies recommends that the nano SIM card and adapter are from the same telecommunication company. This ensures that there is no thickness difference between the nano SIM card and its adapter.
